THE LITTLE GIRL AND ME

Spending precious time with my beautiful & sweet niece Sierra made me realize that there was a little girl in me who was wanting me to find her.

"Passion....  Life's Music...  Don't Let It Die In You"

Pardon me, have you seen the little girl I knew so long ago

A free spirited soul who wouldn’t recognize me today

Somewhere down life’s mysterious road

She disappeared from my life and faded away

In hopes of a brighter tomorrow

Only yesterday, she was dancing around the backyard

Not caring about what anyone else would say

Life didn’t pass her by

It invited her in and showed her the way

Filling her with laughter, innocence and peace

Everyone at sometime in their lives looks for her

She brings them back to where they long to be

Moving mountains with her beautiful smile

Understanding that life holds more than what they can see

She leaves an everlasting impression on their hearts

I wonder what it would take for me to find that little girl

Could she still be somewhere deep down within me

Does she ever wonder what happened

Or does she feel it was meant to be

Never did I ever want to lose her but I have

Tell me where I can find her in all her glory

Let me experience her iridescent glow

Entice me with everything that she possesses

To get me to let go of all that I know

In hopes that it isn’t too late

To live with her beautiful presence

Deepens my understanding of what is true love

I hold her in my arms again

Embracing her within the warmth from above

I will give to her as she gives to me

Never will I let go of her soft, sweet hands

Yesterday we danced playfully in the rain

Only to smile at each other and laugh hysterically

Ultimately realizing that our music was playing once again
